Yes. Maryland Home Improvement Company is licensed by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission, MHIC #77900. Our owner, John Palmer, is a Maryland Master Electrician, license #12441. Plumbing work is done by a licensed plumber on our team.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry general liability insurance.
How long have you been in business?

Do you pull permits?
Yes. We pull the required permits for your project and schedule the inspections.

How long will my project take?
It depends on the size of the job, the materials you choose, permit and inspection scheduling, and anything we find once work begins. We’ll give you an expected timeline with your quote and keep you updated as the work goes on.
Do you take small jobs?
Yes. From a single light fixture or door repair to a full remodel, we handle projects of all sizes.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. We guarantee our workmanship for two years. As a licensed MHIC contractor, our work is also covered by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission’s Guaranty Fund.
How does payment work?
Payment terms are spelled out in your written quote and contract before any work begins. If you have questions about payment, just ask when we talk about your project.
Can you handle a project that needs several trades?
Yes. Because we do carpentry, electrical, plumbing and finishing work, one team can handle the whole project, with one point of contact.
